Robert C. Beshere

("Bob") has been performing more or less since day one, but he really began focusing on it in high school and college. After getting his B.A. in Theatre Arts and History from Furman University ('03), he received an opportunity to study Shakespearean and English Renaissance literature in Stratford-upon-Avon, England. This placed a pause on career aspirations in the performance world—however, while working toward his M.A. and eventual Ph.D. (UNCG, '09), he never stopped getting on stage or in front of a camera. He moved to Greensboro in 2004 and joined The Idiot Box Comedy Club as a featured comedian, where he still performs improv, sketch, and stand-up comedy today. In 2022, his dear friend took a chance on him and cast him in her horror short film. This reginited a love of dramatic performance and rekindled some aforementioned career aspirations. Since December 2022, he has been working on several tv, film, and stage projects, including playing Vice Principal Douglas Panch in Triad Pride Performing Arts' upcoming production of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee and portraying Dmitri, neurotic dungeon master in the forthcoming webseries Table Chatter. Robert is thrilled to be portraying Anthony in Gin and Platonic. It is his first co-starring role on screen, and he couldn't be happier with the result.
